Privacy

Plain and simple, the way it ought to be.

Thank you for stopping by, neighbor. Here’s the plain truth about what happens to your information on Linn Neighbors. The short version: we keep as little as we can, and we never sell or share it.

Visiting the site

You don’t need an account to use Linn Neighbors. We don’t use advertising trackers, and there are no ads. Like most websites, our web host keeps basic, anonymous visit counts (such as how many people looked at a page) so we know what’s helpful. That information doesn’t tell us who you are.

Weekly email sign-up

If you leave your email for “This Week on the Porch,” we keep it only to send that weekly email once it begins. We never sell or share it, and you can ask to be removed anytime at [email protected].

The Tell Us form and email

When you send us something through the Tell Us form or by email, we use what you share (like your name, email address and the event details) only to look into it and write you back if needed. We don’t sell it, we don’t add you to a mailing list, and we don’t share it with anyone else.

Neighbor photos

Every photo a neighbor sends is reviewed before anything goes up. We only share photos with permission, and we won’t post faces of people who haven’t agreed, house numbers, street addresses or anything that shows where someone lives.

Links to other sites

We link to official sites and organizers so you can get details straight from the source. Those sites have their own privacy practices, so please take a look at theirs too.

Questions

If you’d like us to remove something you sent or have any questions, just let us know and we’ll take care of it.
